Seasons Change- and it's beautiful!

We are officially in the last couple months of 2019, can you believe it!?

September, one of my favourite months. So many amazing things happen in September; my son’s birthday, back to school, new stationary, perfect sweater weather, leaves changing, and routine.

September is the perfect time to reassess your goals and check in on how your year has gone. Are you on track with the goals you set in January? How are you going to finish 2019?

If you’re feeling a little guilty from the summer indulgences, I’m going to kindly ask you to STOP. There is no time in this life for guilt. If you’re feeling a little fluffy, I challenge you to look back on all the amazing memories you made living your damn life. That fluff is a reflection on how much you enjoyed life and summer.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s jump into capitalizing on this new season and finishing your year strong AF.

How the heck do you get back on track after summer vacation? It would be easy to just put off your goals until the New Year, I mean, it's only a couple months away...

NOPE- not this year!

Say it with me: I will NOT throw my goals to the side just because I had a stellar summer. You've got three months until the New Year, the time is going to pass regardless, you decide how you’re going to show up. Are you going to go into January 2020 feeling like crap because you just gave up on yourself these past three months, or are you going to go into 2020 stronger than ever and ready to take on and CRUSH another year?

If you're ready to crush it, here are my tips on getting and staying on track for these last three months of 2019.

1)Check in with yourself. Where are you right now? Where are you showing up? Where are you struggling? This is not the time to beat yourself up over not being where you wanted to be. This is an opportunity to look objectively at where you are right now, so that you know what needs to happen for you to move forward.

2)Set your goals/ intentions. What are you going to accomplish in the next 3 months? How are you going to show up? Dig deep- what do you want more than anything? How do you want to feel going into 2020?

3)WRITE IT OUT. Create a plan. Start with where you are now and where you want to be.

4)What do you need to do to get there? Be specific here.

5)Figure out what road blocks might come up. What could stop you from achieving your goals? (kids, events, yourself?)

6)Put your head down and do the work. Show the fug up for yourself, because you deserve this! It’s time to ditch your excuses and achieve greatness!

Alright, let’s go through this together. Say you want to create a routine around working out consistently

1)Right now you're walking for 10 minutes a couple times a week, whenever you feel like it. You've been to the gym off and on a couple times, but nothing consistent

2)You want to workout 3 days a week while continuing to walk a couple times a week. You want to be strong enough to carry in ALL the groceries in one trip, have more energy so you can play with your kids after work, all while feeling strong, sexy, and confident in your body.

3)What are you going to do TODAY to move you forward? Think baby steps here:

-get a gym membership

-1 gym workout this week + 2 10 minute walks

-2 gym workouts next week + 2 10 minute walks

-3 gym workouts the following week + 2 10 minute walks

-and so on

4)Maybe you need a gym membership, workout clothes, a program to follow, an accountability partner, a new water bottle, gym shoes, a chat with your partner on who's going to watch the kids while you workout.

5)Take a look at your life- what could get in your way from creating this routine? Is it your kids, partner, animals, work? Whatever it is, write it down and create a solution to it. If it's you're too busy after work for a workout, get up earlier and get it done. If you have travel plans coming up, figure out how you're going to rearrange your schedule to hit your goals. Every problem has a solution.

6)The fun part- SHOW THE FUG UP! You've written out your plan, the roadblocks that might come up, and their solutions- now all you need to do is follow through with that plan.

BAM.

You can do this! It's not going to be easy and there will definitely be days where you don't want to show up, but I challenge you to show up anyways. This is your life we're talking about, it's about damn time you showed up for yourself.

Ease into it, set yourself up for success, don't wait for motivation to find you- create it. Action creates more action, so even if you don't want to do the thing, do it anyways, you'll thank yourself later ;)

Focus on the first step, and then the next, and then the next. You’re not tackling the mountain today, just that first dang step.

LET’S GO!

Love ya,
